2025 Goldman Prize Winners to be Announced Monday, April 21

January 14, 2025

The Goldman Environmental Prize is excited to share that the 2025 Prize winners will be announced on Monday, April 21.

The Doing Makes the Difference

For more than 35 years, we’ve celebrated grassroots heroes who prove that when ordinary people take action, they have the power to turn apathy into positive change for the environment.

Their stories show us that even the smallest steps forward, when taken with courage and conviction, create a ripple effect that inspires global change.

That’s why we’re excited to share this year’s theme: The Doing Makes the Difference. No matter the odds, Goldman Prize winners know that rolling up your sleeves is the best way to feel empowered and begin to make change.

A Cause for Celebration

The Prize winners will be celebrated at live ceremonies in San Francisco and Washington, DC, during Earth Week. The San Francisco ceremony will be livestreamed on the Goldman Prize YouTube channel on Monday, April 21.

We look forward to sharing more details over the coming months.

Taking Action

As we count down to the 2025 Goldman Prize winner announcement, we encourage you to check out our newest blog, Six Ways to Contribute to a More Sustainable and Resilient World.
