Environmental Resources for Educators

Teaching tools to inspire the next generation of environmental activists

Powerful Stories of Environmental Leadership

Since the founding of the Goldman Environmental Prize in 1989, educators have used Prize winner videos in classrooms of every level—from grade school to graduate school—to educate students about environmental issues and activism.

The Teacher Video Guide is designed for educators of students in grades 8 – 12. The videos can be easily added to lessons that meet common core and other educational standards in the United States. Please download this free resource to accompany any Goldman Prize winner profile video. Each video is three to six minutes long and can be filtered by Prize winner here.

Celebrating Environmental Heroes

Held each April around Earth Day, the Goldman Prize award ceremony in San Francisco brings together the Bay Area environmental community for an unforgettable celebration of grassroots activism.

If you are an educator in the San Francisco Bay Area and would like to attend a Prize ceremony with your students, join our mailing list, or learn more, please email education@goldmanprize.org
