Following the Goldman Prize ceremony in San Francisco, the 2010 recipients took off for meetings and events in Washington, DC, including the annual Congressional Luncheon on Capitol Hill hosted by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi on Earth Day.
Senator Barbara Boxer attended, as well, along with Congressman Xavier Becerra, Congressman Steve Cohen, Congresswoman Susan Davis, Congressman Vernon Ehlers, Congressman Bart Gordon, Congresswoman Jane Harman, Congresswoman Nita Lowey, Congressman Edward Markey, Congressman Nick Rahall, Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz, Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter, Congressman John Tierney, Congresswoman Diane Watson, Congressman Henry Waxman, Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey and Congressman Rush Holt.
