Participant Media Launches Social Action Campaign for New Film

Participant Media’s new film, “Last Call at the Oasis,” is set to hit theaters on May 4th, 2012. The film takes an in-depth look at the global water crisis and how people can participate to make a difference. 

The work of Goldman Prize winner Lynn Henning and environmental activist Erin Brokovich will be featured in the film. Brokovich teamed up another Goldman Prize winner, Lois Gibbs, earlier this year.

Henning, a farmer in rural Michigan, won the Prize in 2010 for exposing the dirty world of CAFO (concentrated animal feeding operations) pollution and water contamination.

Participant Media is the group behind many of today’s most powerful documentaries such as “An Inconvenient Truth,” “Food Inc.,” and “Waiting for Superman.” 

For each of their films, Participant Media launches a social action campaign to raise awareness and call for action. The campaign for "Last Call at the Oasis" is called "Know Your Water" and features a Water Bill of Rights.
