The Goldman Prize is pleased to welcome Philippe Cousteau as the Master of Ceremonies for the 2012 Goldman Prize ceremony in San Francisco. The ceremony to honor the 2012 Goldman Prize recipients will take place on Monday, April 16th at the San Francisco Memorial Opera House.
Philippe Cousteau, son of Philippe Cousteau Sr. and grandson of famed explorer Jacques Yves Cousteau, comes from a long line of environmentalists. He is the co-founder and president of Earth Echo International, an NGO that focuses on empowering youth to protect the Earth’s oceans. Cousteau also works as a special correspondent for CNN International, regularly reporting on environmental and humanitarian stories.
